Hobby farmers

We own a small hobby farm located on the Marys River in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Professors by trade, we began farming as a path toward a more ethical, sustainable, and rewarding relationship to the earth and the food we eat.

Eichenalm

Sebastian grew up near the Alps, where livestock graze on the alpine meadows (Alm). Our first farm was located in an old-growth oak forest (Eichenwald). Our name, Eichenalm, combines elements of both spaces in honor of the natural environment and traditional forms of farming we take as our model.
